BIO

During the early years of their individual lives, Nishanthe Kandangama and Kristin Johnson were open to a variety of ministry opportunities as each of them sought God for a revelation of His will for their individual lives. God eventually led Nishanthe to become an active participant in the para-church organization known as Youth with a Mission. It was through his involvement

in Youth with a Mission (Kings Kids) that he developed his ministry to children and youth. A half a world away in the nation of Canada, Kristin was born into a Christian family, and during her early childhood and youth, she participated in a Christian Church and a Christian School. On two occasions she engaged in Mission ministries in Sri Lanka with a group of other young people from Canada. Her participation in these mission outreaches to children proved to bethe motivating factor that led her back to Sri Lanka by herself for an extended period of time to connect to "a ministry to street children."

It was during those times in Sri Lanka that Kristin became acquainted with Nishanthe. However, it was during her third time in Sri Lanka, that Nishanthe and Kristin sensed a mutual love for each other and a common call to minister to children and youth. Kristin returned home to Canada, then in January, 2007 Nishanthe and Kristin were united in marriage in Kandy, Sri Lanka.

Nishanthe & Kristin Kandangama have a call to the nation of Sri Lanka. Both have considerable experience in reaching out to children and youth through outreach programs in various areas of the nation. They anticipate returning to Sri Lanka, with their daughter Aneisha, early in 2013. During their three years in Canada, they have been able to earn money for the purchase of land for the development of a future ministry center. It will be from that center that they will conduct educational programs such as English, Computer, Art & Craft, Puppets & Drama, Agricultural activities, Sports, and community outreach. Their ultimate goal is to encourage young people to discover their God given talents and use them for His glory.

Nishanthe is a native Sri Lankan, and as a young adult, he had many godly leaders speak into his life. He anticipates that God will use him to become a mentor to young people in his nation.

Together, Kristin and Nishanthe want to see many young people commit themselves to the Lord and use their gifts for the Glory of God!
