BREAKING NEWS: Impact School of Missions opening September 2012 - 3 month plus experience in class and hands on. Partner with GW's all over SEA, slum ministry, street ministry, exploited women, church ministry, teaching English, relief work and more. The Impact School of Missions will fulfill college internships requirements and be a perfect experience for gap students.

Impact School of Missions

To motivate, equip and mobilize young adults and Global Workers to effectively reach the lost and hurting of South East Asia.

Core Training Focuses

ISM will focus upon four core areas of training, namely, Cultural Formation, Spiritual Formation, Personal Formation and Ministry Formation.  The first 4 weeks will follow a daily schedule divided into two halves with the first half in a classroom setting including chapels and the second half in ministry prep and/or ministry.  The final 8 weeks will be full time in the field partnered with Global Workers/ministries in South East Asia. Ministries include Orphanages, NightLight, Dtonn Naam,, Church Ministry, Slums, Street Ministry, Teaching English.

Cultural Formation

This will involve covering such topics as: What is culture?, Christianity and Culture, Contextualization, Ethnocentrism, Values and Culture, Culture Shock, Culture Stress, Linguistics, World Religions, etc.

Spiritual Formation

This will involve covering such topics as: The Character of God, The Will of God, Spiritual disciplines, Conversing with God, Who is the Holy Spirit?, Spirit Baptism, Walking in the Spirit, Spiritual Gifts and Fruit, Ministry in the Anointing, Spiritual Warfare, etc.

Personal Formation

This will involve covering such topics as: Personality Inventories, Inter-personal Relationships, Family Dynamics in Cross-cultural Contexts, Third Culture kids, Personal Development, Leading and Hosting teams (for GW’s) etc.

Ministry Formation

This will involve covering such topics as: Spiritual Gifts Inventories, Holistic ministry, Relationship with the National Church, Balance in ministry, Vision-casting, Servant Leadership, Professional Development, etc.


The Impact School of Missions will be located in Bangkok, Thailand.
